I’m Jeff, a registered nurse turned senior business intelligence developer with a military background and a habit of reinventing myself every few years. Over 22 years, I’ve gone from active duty right out of high school, to nursing school, to leading a health system’s transition from paper charting to electronic medical records, to building data pipelines and dashboards. It’s been a weird ride.
This blog is an experiment in public accountability. I have a tendency to jump from idea to idea, project to project, and hobby to hobby before anything really sticks. I figured if I put it all out there — the fitness goals, the meal prep attempts, the side projects, the career pivots, maybe I’d actually follow through on a few of them. Or at the very least, I’d have a record of everything I started and abandoned.
BuildHabitsDaily is part accountability journal, part project tracker, and part proof that you don’t need to have it all figured out to start sharing what you’re working on. Some posts will be about what I ate and how my workout went. Others might be about a tech project I’m tinkering with or something I’m learning. No niche, no expertise, just a guy trying to be a little more consistent than he was yesterday.
If any of that sounds familiar, stick around. We can figure it out together.
